Spelling



Today LS2 done spelling and what we done was that we got the word "UN" and what we had to do is that we played three different games after we played we had to screenshot it. When we done that we had to get the dictionary and find some words that start with "UN". It is a great learning for us because when we get our spelling right we know that how to spell it.

Anzac Day


The main idea tells us what the text was mostly about

What we done here was that we had to read a poem, the poem I read was The Soldier Who Never Returned.  Also we had to tell what the poem was about. What we done in (What's the poem about?) we had find a detail that helps us what the poem was about.

Ariel's Fear

Ariel ran. She turned. Her heart was beating, her hair flew behind her as she ran. She could feel the fear growing inside her. She kept asking herself “Why am I doing this?”     

She reached an old abandoned cottage. She could hear creaks coming towards her. Her heart was racing and her legs continued to shake.“Who’s there!”,”Who’s there!”,”Who’s there!” wondered  Ariel, She slowly turned she saw a little girl holding a teddy bear through a cracked window. She went in. She asked the little girl “Ummmmm excuse me little girl, do you have a family?” The little girl said nothing. She took little steps, one by one. So she had seen the little girl go to the back yard. She walked. She got there, until, suddenly she disappeared.

She still could feel the fear tensing up inside her. She saw a yellow bright  daisy, just popped up out of the ground. She breathed in, slowly. She grabbed it, it pulled her into a deep hole. It was terrifying. It took her to another world that she had never seen before.  Ariel yelled “It’s the future!” But once again that little girl was there, Ariel wanted to help her. She slowly turned around the little girl was right there. The little girl said “I can hear the VOICE! There inside me”.

…..3 weeks later….. She told her family and they said “When those problems happen then just come and  tell us and we will be right with you all the way”, She told everyone at school but everyone didn’t bother listening to her. Her fear was slowly going away, then Fiona came up to her and whispered to her ear “meet me at the cafeteria”. When the bell rang (RingRing RingRing) Fiona told Ariel “I've been there I had fear in me but now I am CONFIDENT and able to make friends”. So they became best friends. But something was coming their way…………...

This term we have been learning to write narratives. We used the picture prompt below to help us imagine how this situation came about. We tried to hook our audience in by thinking about the pace of events and the pictures we painted with words.

Mathletics

Today for maths Miss Donaldson gave the maths group a competition. The competition was we had to get into partners. My partner was Jessie. So this game is about how Miss Donaldson has to give us a equation on a piece of paper. We had to take that piece of paper and run all the way to the end of the courts and then run back and give the piece of paper to your partner and she has to find out what the answer is. We can take turns on doing it. We then had help so we had to ask Victoria and Ana if they need help and if they needed help then we will help them. But at the end 1.Evelyn & Juanita, 2.Mia & Zahra , 3.Jessie and I - Victoria & Ana.

Elephant Toothpaste


Today LS2 had to do a science planning house and what we are talking about is the Elephant
Toothpaste. The Aim was mixing two chemicals together and we get a chemical reaction.

Design Process


Today LS2 went Tamaki College. In the 3D printing we done some more plasticine Model and we have to go on Tinkercad development and when we are done we had to screenshot and send it to Miss Ferguson. Design Process what we done first when we came was a Design Brief -Client + Wanted .
Research - jewellery. Concept ideas - 6 different. Design Development Drawings (change) And Positives + Improvements.

Exploring Both Point of view



Today Victoria and I had to do a google draw on the Bus Driver's and the Bus Company's point of view.LS2 learnt that Biaus means one point of view and also we learnt what provocation means strong feelings in someone.And Victoria's role was the Bus Driver and my one was the Bus Company.

Spelling 2016


So today we done spelling and what we had to do was that Miss Anderson gave us some words starting with auto.Miss Anderson gave us a game and this game is a word search game.It's really fun to play and good on our education as well.

Current Event


So today LS2 had to do a Current Event. Our Current Event was Bus Strike. We had to get into pairs. My partner was Nesi. What we did was we had to use the 5W's and also How. Nesi did When,Where and Who and I did the What,Why and How. Also we had to do a point of view and What do you think the author wanted you to learn from this article? Nesi and I worked collaboratively together and finished it. 

How To Become A Scientist

 

Today LS2 had to go into our science groups.And in group 3 we talked about  How To Become A Scientist. 

3D Printing


So at Tamaki College LS2 goes there on Fridays.And we get into separate groups.What we do there is 3D printing and our teacher is Miss Ferguson.What we did was that we had to research all the Jewellery and draw some that your friends or family would like and design our own.

On here I did my 9 times table but what I need to work on is to do it fast and quick and challenge myself.

Today I did the Reading Can do.And I did the Word Cline Challenge and I picked the word Silly I made that word and trying to make it more powerful.

So today LS2 did spelling.And Miss Anderson gave us a game, Also this game is about putting the words into order and if you get it wrong then thats -20 and if you get it right then it moves on to the next word.
