It had me thinking

When I get on the plane Expectations just come to me.

But I know that I will nail it.

So what I had to do here was that I had to imagine that I am in TVNZ and I was paid to go to Rio de Janeiro to attend the Olympics games and report the golf or the rugby competitions. So I had to write how I feel and would I be excited? No because I will be my first time traveling and reporting on the golf and rugby, but at the same time proud of myself because I've come all the way from New Zealand to the Olympics.

Valerie Adams - Winter Learning Journey

So what i had to do here was pick out of he 76 people in New Zealand that is going to the Rio Olympic 2016 also the sport that they play and 3 facts about them. So I chose Valerie Adams because she has strength in her and also supporting New Zealand.

3 Facts About Valerie Adams

1. She won her first World Youth Champion gold medal at the age of 17.

2.She grew up with 17 siblings.

3. She is one of New Zealand's most powerful shot putter.

Be The Inspiration - Winter Learning Journey

Be the Inspiration 

The video of 'Be the Inspiration' was a creative and exciting video. Why? because there were different sports and also it looks like they have been practising in different areas. So when they practice it feels like they are practising at the Rio Olympic. In New Zealand it would take many practices to be in the Rio Olympic and compete others, The key to being in the Rio Olympic is By PRACTISE,PRACTICE,PRACTICE! What I got from the video was "It gives us the freedom to think,move and adapt" Because when you're angry,sad or happy at someone then you could play a sport to shake all your emotions off so when you go to school you could forgive the person who made you  angry,sad or happy. But I also thought the video could've been better if they put my favourite sport in the olympic games that is Netball.

    

I rate this video has a 5 because I like to play sport and I loved it because they were so creative with the video that they produce for the Rio Olympic 2016. Also the title "Be the Inspiration" because when we grow up the young ones need a role model and someone to look up to when they grow and grow.

Eddie The Eagle - Winter Learning Journey

Today I had to watch a movie called 'Eddie The Eagle' And so this movie is about when a young kid tries all the Olympic sports. And so everytime he tries he fails but he kept trying but his parents believe that he would ever be a Olympic player. But Robert Downey Jr. comes in the movie because he plays has Hugh Jackman who use to play winter skiing. And so they work has a team when Eddie practises then he will always hurt himself and so he kept doing that he went to hospital and then he woke up. So he NEVER GAVE UP and kept practicing.

Go Home Stay Home - Winter Learning Journey

So what I had to do is that I had to make up a game. So my game is called Go Home Stay Home and Go Home Stay Home is kind of like netball because one of the rule is to not run with ball and so this game is fun to play you could even verse your friends or family.

The Paralympic Games - Winter Learning Journey

So what I had to do here is that I had to continue the sentences so what my story is about is that a girl name Cecillia gets called from the spectator and that she gets a 3 pointer to see the silver ferns and so she got it in. Next day she tells her friends Victoria,Ana and Mere. Then Maria Tutaia tells them "When you play netball the there are going to be ups and downs but just believe that you're going to FINISH"

Para-cycling team in New Zealand - Winter Learning Journey

What I had to do is pick one partner who will bike with me. I picked my sister, Luisa because she likes to be competitive and always wants to be me in everything her and I do. Like she will go to my game and support me and give me advice also the same I do to her. That's why I pick her because we can work as a team to get a gold medal but if we don't then we will keep trying and never give up.

Raising Funds Paralympic athletes - Winter Learning Journey

So today I have to come up with 2 ways to raise funds for Paralympic athletes, 1. Do a BBQ with Family or Friends and get money by selling sausage rolls or lemonade drinks for 50c and can do it for a week. 2. Do a bake sale and do it in the public,community or church for $2.00 each. For me I've done selling chocolates and get money. This is all to support the Paralympic athletes.

Inspiration - Winter Learning Journey

This is my 2 uncles there names are Charles Piutau and Siale Piutau. They Inspire my family and I, Why they inspire me? Because they are Tongans that are travelling around the world and experience new things like rugby teams. They both played in the Wasps team and they worked together. They have been a great inspiration to me because they have followed their dreams and they still are. What I like about both of them is that they NEVER GIVE UP. Also they come from New Zealand and look now Siale Piutau is in Japan with his beautiful family. Also Charles Piutau is in Ireland playing for is new team the Ulsters and having fun.

Marjorie Gestring - Winter Learning Journey

This is Marjorie Gestring she was the youngest person who won a gold medal in the Olympics. If I met her I would be so surprise because she youngest girl who got a gold medal. I would ask her lots of questions but only 5 questions. My questions 1. How does it feel like being the young girl to get a gold medal? 2.What did it make you feel to go to the Olympics? 3.For your age how does it feel? 4.How did you know that your going to join the Olympics? 5. Do you feel proud of yourselves? And then I will just be so proud of her because it means that young children like Marjorie Gestring can get a gold medal for what they learn and what they want to do in there lives.

New Zealand - Winter Learning Journey

So what I had to is pick out of these 3 and I picked Andrea Kilday. Why I picked her? because I want to learn taekwondo also what I learned about her was that she got gold medals in all sporting events held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea in July 2016. What I want to ask Andrea Kilday is How do you fill when you're competing other people from other countries. Also What I like about Andrea Kilday that she keeps going with taekwondo and looks after her 2 boys.

Best New Zealander - Winter Learning Journey

Richie McCaw (rugby player), Lorde (singer), Kane Williamson (cricket player), Maria Tutaia (netball player), John Key (prime minister of New Zealand) or Shaun Johnson (league player). What I had to do here was to pick out the best person. My best person is Maria Tutaia because I like the way she plays netball also I played netball when I was 6 years old and now I'm still playing for My school Panmure Bridge School. I am improving how I play and meeting new friends.

Ranking The Uniforms - Winter Learning Journey

What I had to do for the Winter Learning Journey was that I had to rank the uniforms up to #1 to #3 and what I rank the 2012 uniform was a #1 because It didn't have any designs on it only a olympic logo. For the 2008 I gave it #3 because you could see the big fern so if New Zealand is in the olympic and they see the big fern then they will notice that that's New Zealand because of the fern. For 2004 uniform I gave it a #2 because It's kind of like the 2008 but the fern is only white and black at the background but it still looks cool. It was cool ranking the New Zealand Uniforms.

Running - Winter Learning Journey

Today what I have to do for the Winter Learning Journey was to do my favorite sport and that was running. Why I picked running? Because I want to be a Silver Fern netball player when I grow up. How? If I start Young I'll be better when I grow up and focus on my health. I love to run with my family because it feels like family time and exercise at the same time. That's my reason why I like to run. Also it's good fitness for all of us.

Tom and Vinicius Video Episode #3 - Winter Learning Journey

Today I watched Tom and Vinicius episode #3. This episode was about Tom and Vinicius who were in china, when they were looking at the view then they meet 3 young beautiful girls, they wanted to take photos of Tom and Vinicius. But the 3 young beautiful girls told them to keep moving back and so they did and so they were at the edge of the mountain. From there Tom and Vinicius saw them rowing to another land. And played with them until night, Tom and Vinicius and the 3 young beautiful girls watched the moon until Tom had a great idea and that idea was to let some fireflies go and brighten up the bridge then celebrated and played music with each other.

Tom and Vinicius Video Episode #2 - Winter Learning Journey

Today I watched Tom and Vinicius episode #2. It was about how Tom and Vinicius worked collaboratively to try and find a house to live in. First Vinicius and Tom sleep in a tree and log but they both had bugs, and it didn't feel comfortable. But Vinicius wanted to sleep on top of the tree then Tom didn't want that but instead live in the wate. But Vinicius found a house where It had a tree with water. And so they worked together has a team and built their house.

When they slept in there own new house they felt uncomfortable and slept outside. And that's what it feels like when we move into a new house and it's uncomfortable but we have to get use to it.

Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Logo - Winter Learning Journey

What I done here was, That I created a Olympic Logo. First I went on Designmantic, after that I went to go choose the logo that I wanted. I picked this logo because it looks like everyone is a winner and that they finished the race, even if they came last or first they are still a winner.
