In the Ancient Olympic Games, Mens were allowed to compete each other in every events but for Womens they weren't allowed because Men's thought that Women's/Girls can't do this or that? That rule wasn't fear to the Women's because in the olden days the Women's were like the Men's Slaves. What I thought about this rule wasn't fear because women's can do anything but Men's think that Women's are there slaves.
Hi Cecilla,
ReplyDeleteI really like that you chose to complete the bonus activity for Day 1. I agree with you that the rule isn't fair and that women should have the opportunity to participate in the Olympic games alongside the men. I also agree with you that the 'No Women Allowed' rule reflected the culture of the day and that women were not given the same rights as men thousands of years ago. Thank goodness we have come as far as we have and that women are now granted most, if not all, of the same rights as men in most countries around the world. New Zealand is a particularly equitable place to live and I feel very lucky to have the chance to live here :)
Cheers, Rachel
Hello Cecillia, I too think that is not fair women back then and I think the men and women should have equal rights. Remember check your work before you publish it because their are some spelling mistakes.
ReplyDeleteHi Cecillia
ReplyDeleteI thought that back then it was not a very nice place for women. As you said, the women were probably the men's slaves (I doubt it will happen now though). Keep up the marvelous work!
