We learned where we have to put the punctuation in our sentences. We also have to check where we put our punctuation so it makes sense. The first we done with the class was "Let's eat Miss Anderson." But when we saw that it didn't make sense we knew that there was a punctuation missing, it was a comma. "Let's eat, Miss Anderson." When we done that we got into groups. In our group was Victoria,Paige,Reon,Lyndon,Tiare and I. We had to fix up all the punctuation that was missing and that was in the wrong place.

Shoe Narrative-Cecillia and Jessie
Shoe Narrative
By Cecillia and Jessie
On a sunny afternoon, I was abandoned by the fish and chip shop. I was wondering, who will notice me, as people will going pass me I realized that nobody wanted me. I could feel rocky bumps just coming towards me like I was invisible. As I felt the wind was bursting like a fireball I felt that I was left behind. When I see other shoes like me I just feel so jealous and I feel like I’m not the only one who has felt like this before. Has I was by the fish and chip shop I could hear sizzling coming towards me has if I was hungry and wanted to be like humans that can walk.
As the people come out of the shop I feel like that I have no idea what to do and I just feel like that nobody in the world would want me even if I have holes everywhere. I just wish someone, anyone can just pick me up and take me home somewhere safe. If someone really does take me home I’ll be the happiest shoe of all time. As the sun set went down I realized that someone came looking for me but he or she came closer I realized it was a dog who wanted to chew me up and to be his or hers toy. As the dog took me home, the dog showed me his collection of other shoes some of them were like me.
Today for writing we had to write a short story for 15 mins. We had to use the 5 senses and personification to help us point a picture with words. My partner and I Jessie had to write a sentence each until the 15 mins were done we had to proof read our work.
Using the 6 Thinking Hats to explore a ballad poem.
Today LS2 activity was to use the 6 thinking caps and we had to learn about Charlotte Anne. Our Prior Knowledge was that she was like the other ladies (cleaning and serving there husbands). But when we watch this video we were shocked because she wore men clothes and helped the mens cut trees. She is a hero because she was the only women who didn't wear dresses or skirts.

Blue Whale
The blue whale is a type of mammal called a cetacean and is a type of baleen whale. The scientific name for the blue whale is the Balaenoptera muscolus. Blue whales are by far the biggest animals in the world. Even the biggest dinosaur that ever lived doesn't come close in size to the blue whale.
|
Diet
To eat, blue whales filter their food through stiff, bony, comb-like teeth called baleen plates. Their main diet is krill (small creatures that are less than 2 cm in size). A blue whale can eat up to 3,600 kilograms of krill a day during its peak consumption period. Blue whales catch their food by diving down to about 500 meters below the surface.
|
Habitat
Blue whales are found in open oceans from the icy waters of the extreme Southern Hemisphere to the Aleutian Islands off Alaska at the northern boundary of the Pacific Ocean. Summers are spent in polar waters because food production is higher there.
|
Appearance
Blue whales are simply enormous. Their heart is the size of a small car. A blue whale aorta (the main blood vessel) alone is large enough for a human to crawl through. They can weigh over 200,000 kilograms! Female blue whales are generally larger than males. Blue whales are light bluish gray on their dorsal side and mottled gray whitish on their bellies. Some have yellowish bellies.
|
Endangered species
The worldwide blue whale population is not known, however, blue whales are considered endangered according to the U.S. Endangered Species Act. For many years blue whales were hunted extensively for their large quantities of baleen, blubber, and meat. Although blue whales are protected, their populations show few signs of recovery.
|
Blue whales are large mammals that spends their time in the icy oceans. They only eat krill and are not a threat to any other creature in the ocean. Blue whales face the risk of extinction if humans continue to hunt them for their baleen, blubber and meat.

In the week we have been learning to understand the structure of an Information report. What we had to do was highlight the introduction, body paragraph and the conclusion.

E-ako
Today in maths we were practicing our multiplication and division on e-ako. We have 70 points so far and we need 143 left to do.
Synthesizing
This week for reading we learned about SYNTHESIZING with Miss Anderson. What we did here was that we created a cover for a biography of George Washington using what we already knew about them and what we found out after researching. The new information helped us think about what their picture would look like, what the title might be and what background would match their achievement.
