Hockey

It was a sunny day. After Music we had Hockey. LS2 had 2 wonderful coaches there names are Carly and her teammate. First we played a game of bull rush that was cool and tried. Then we sat in and grabbed us a hockey stick and our own balls. We played bull rush but HOCKEY WAY! its when you have any taggers they have a hockey stick. So they pick a colour of there hockey stick or there clothes colour and then they have to run. The taggers have to try and take the runners balls out of the court. It was fun but I went out at least i tried my best. After that we had to get into partners and hit the ball on your stick and give it to your partner. We would like to thank our 2 coaches Carly and her team mate.

When they say "GO!" your team has to try and work has a team and grab the balls and bin bags when all of it is gone then you go to the other team and grab there one has fast as you could. After that our next activity was called "Sponge Relay" Its when you go around the cone and then grab the sponge in the bucket, jump over 2 poles and then rince your sponge with the bucket of water then you come back and SQUEEZE the water into your bucket and remember to take turns also we showed team work also we collaborative well. Next activity was long jump, that was cool but the grass was very slippery. Our last Activity was that we had to chuck the hoop and we had to get points the bucket - 1 point, wicket - 2 points and the long stick - 5 points. We would like to thank Tamaki College for helping us also Mr Ogilvie for providing the athletics activity.

Hockey

On Thursday we had hockey, after music. What we did was practising pushing the ball and also trapping as well as hitting. Practising is really good for us because we get to know how to controls the ball with the stick and how to focus on the ball by not bumping into someone. After that we done pouncing the balls on the stick and count ho many we done and beat the record of your last one. Once we done that we played a game it was when you have to take someones ball out of the square and then you do that over again if there are 4 or 5 people still in then there then we call "SHARK!" shark is when someone is out and then they come back in to the square and get someone out until there is 1 player and thats the winner!!!!!!!
We would like to thank Carly for teaching us new skills.
