So this activity we have to list 3 things to be safe when your on an airplane.

1.You always have to buckle your seat belt together! through your flight if you need to go to the toilet than unbuckle your seat belt and tell on of the adults that your going somewhere.

2.Loose items must be put in the over head locker or underneath your seats. If you have water than make sure to close it tight.

3. If you have phones or laptops and your WiFi is on turn it off put it on airplane mode and turn it off.

So this activity is if you had the chance or you have already been to the capital of New Zealand which is Wellington then you have to give 2 places where you would like to visit. So I made a DLO about where i would want to visit in Wellington. One day I will visit Wellington because it looks so beautiful and it has fun activity that people can do.

For this activity I have to give 2 reasons why should Spain stop this popular activity that is called "Bull fighting" 

My 2 reasons

1. Because when the matador help kill the bull they will get hurt and broke their arms,legs,heart and the most important part is your brain because you could get brain damage and no one would want that even your family and friends wouldn't want to see you in the hospital.

2. For people to fight a bull is a serious thing, Why? because your going to risk your life killing a bull when you can go visit family across the world and many more.

So for Day 2 activity we had to find out our countries' capital cities because tourists would like to visit the capital cities because the capital cities have interesting stuff you can do and see. So the task is to complete the 5 sentences.

2.The population of the capital city is 1.589 million

3.In January, the weather in the capital city is usually raining for 16 days and then 15 days it's completely sunny.

4.The capital city is located in the West-Central, Malaysia

5.The languages most commonly spoken in the capital city is Bahasa Melayu.

For the bonus activity is that we had to write a letter to one of our family members that I'm going to visit Malaysia and so I have to explain why I choose Malaysia and how long I'll be going.

Dear Mum & Dad 

I'll be going to Malaysia for 5 weeks to explore there wonderful places and food. Malaysia has lots of facts that I didn't know about like they have the largest cave chamber. I'll take lots of photos and videos.

So On Activity 2 it says that we had to research 3 interesting facts about your country that you picked my one was Malaysia so 3 interesting facts about Malaysia - 

I.F 1 - Muslim Malaysian children have to kiss there parents' hand to urge for forgiveness for any offers in the earlier year on Hari Raya Puasa which means they celebrate at the end when they have finished there fasting.

I,F 2 - The first prime minister was Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj 

I,F 3 - The world discovered that there was a largest cave chamber in Sarawak Chamber it's located in Gunung Mulu National Park thats in Malaysia.

Year 8's Graduation

So Yesterday after school the year 8's had our graduation. So all the year 8's learnt 2 dances it was the cha cha & rock roll. When we got to the Pakuranga Sailing Club it was nice it even had a nice view of the beach and many more. The Year 8's took lots of photos of there friends and videos. We had lots of fun dancing with the boys and girls. My favorite part was seeing all the year 8's outfit the girls looked so pretty and the boys looked handsome. We would like to thank Mrs Anderson,Ms Kirkpatrick,Mrs Berk,Mr Grady & Mr Johnston for providing the food and drink to us they were delicious! Thank you to our parents for getting us there at the Pakuranga Sailing Club.

For the first activity its based choosing one of the countries from Summer Learning Journey. I choose Malaysia because I could learn things that I didn't know about that country and it can give me more better understanding about Malaysia. I can't wait to learn all kinds of things about Malaysia. I wanted to do Malaysia because it's very beautiful and it has a nice view.

Labyrinth

So yesterday and today we have been learning about the movie called "Labyrinth" it was fun to learn about the shot types also what there part/role is in the movie and what. Today we got to finish watching the ending and to rewind and watch some of the scenes to help us fill out our form. My best part of the movie was when the My favorite part was when the goblins were saying shut up to each other because they were wait for Sarah to say “I wish the Goblins can take you right about now”

Music

Today we had Music. On these pictures I have graded my orange,Green and Purple with the help of the other students and Mrs Eeles. I am so proud of myself and the other students as well it means we have been working hard and grading up to the other colors.

On this blog is when i wrote a letter to myself in term 1. So now is term 4 and I was reading my letter and it had all my goals on it, so I asked myself did I make friends? Yes I have amazing friends and they are the best. Did you work with people that helped you focus on your work? Yes because they help me and I help them so over the past few weeks we work in different groups so it helps me know how they work and share my knowledge with them. So this means i have accomplished my goals for this year.

Tahuna Torea

Yesterday at lunchtime we went to have lunch at Tahuna Torea. Once we got there we had lunch, everyone was having fun. Why we went to Tahuna Torea? because its linked to our topic for reading we are learning about Godwits. First we explored was the beach where the Godwits come after that we waited until it was our turned to explored the wet lands where the Godwits find there food. LS2 learnt a lot and where Godwit's migrate. Godwits migrate from New Zealand to Alaska that would take them 8 days to get there but they would need to go to Australia than Japan then Alaska. So they are really fast to fly to Alaska. It was really interesting learning about the Godwit and where they Migrate.

Rockets D.L.O.

 On Friday after technology LS2 had to stay because we were excited to create fun rockets with Mr Dunn. This term we got to make rockets at Tamaki College. When we went into the classroom everyone quickly went into groups before we started anything, Mr Dunn presented a D.L.O on rockets. Now this D.L.O, our group had to come up with a prediction. At the end we had to find out if it supported our prediction in the beginning. It was very fun making our Straw Rocket so when we are learning rockets we know what to do with the learning of Mr Dunn's. 

Rocket Collages

Yesterday we were creating a collage from our wonderful time creating our own straw rocket from Friday. We had so excited on Friday by making our straw rockets and trying to fly Mr Dunn's and Miss Ferguson's fantastic orange rocket when we tried Mr Dunn's and Miss Ferguson's rocket it went really high. Ana,Jessie and I worked so collaboratively and finished google slide of our rocket experiment. As you can see on the photos it looked like LS2 had an awesome time at Tamaki College, we would like to say a HUGE Thank you to Mr Dunn & Miss Ferguson for providing the time for us and getting the materials to build our Straw Rocket.

Multimodal Reading

 Today for reading we were doing Multi modal Reading. Multi modal Reading is what we basically done for the Pigeon learning but this one is about the Godwit/Kuaka. In the D-team there were Harry,Lyndon,Aj,Latham,Reon,Gozan,Ma'ata,Nazella and Breeana. What have been doing is a matrix where we have to make up questions of our own. The D-team worked very collaboratively as a group. Then we had to do reciprocal reading the book was facts about the Kuakas/Godwits. Today was good because we got to work together and share new learning

How To Make A Straw Rocket

This is a blog post where it tells you instruction to how to build a Straw Rocket. It will take 6 steps just to build a straw rocket. If you get to make one remember to change some stuff like the length of the straw or the shape and size of the fins. To make this you would need 2 straws, scissors, sellotape and piece of paper with a template of fins. Have fun and it is really great to play with just remember to be careful.
