Run,Jump,Throw
Run,Jump,Throw
So on Thursday we had Run,Jump,Throw. What we did was that we practise on our high jump skills, so there are two high jump techniques the scissors jump and the Fosbury flop, What I learned about the Fosbury Flop "They have never change because one of the athletes last name is Fosbury and so he was the first one to do that and it has never changed ever since".
The techniques are for the scissors Jump
1. Is when your running you always have to run like a J shape.
2. When you get near the pole then your toes should point up to the sky, Why? because it would make you higher.
3. When you jump your arms and legs have to be the same like if your better with your left leg then it would be left, left, right, right or if your better with you right then it would be right, right, left, left.
4. Also with your arms if you jump with your left leg than you should have your left arm together with it when you jump same goes with your right hand.
5. And just try your best to get over the pole or practise.

The team we versed was Bailey Road school. It was cool because it was my first time playing basketball and learning some new skills. It was awesome to see my family support me. Unfortunately we lost but at least we tried our best next week we are going to be better and better.

Comparison DLO
So on this DLO we had to find a picture of ourselves and compare it to an athlete. So what I learn about this activate was that the athlete photo comparing to my it kind of looks the same but mu knees are slightly high that's what I need to work on also looking straight because when your starting a race the athletes never look at the other athletes so look straight ahead. It was awesome learning how to start a race, what to do to push yourself to the finish line and also having that help from Andi from Run,Jump,Throw.

Platform Game - Digi Tech
Today for Digitech is that we made a game. My game has 5 levels, so what the blue colour is that if you touch it then you die and reset the level. The orange blocks are for you to get to the next level. The red block is when you get to the next level. What you want to use to help you move the sprite character is the right arrow to help you move and the space bar to help you jump. The last level it would be a yellow box that means you finish the game and you clocked all the levels. This game is really cool and it would make you consecrate on the other level.

Warriors
What we did was that we had an a assembly for Ryan Hoffman and John Palavi from the warriors to come and visit us thank to dtr for making them come to Panmure bridge School we really appreciate it. What we did was that we played some games. First game we played was team trivia it's when we slept into two groups one group was with (hoffy) - that's what they call Ryan Hoffman's nickname so our chant was Hoffy,Hoffy,Hoffy!!! the other team John Palavi's nickname is J.B, once we did that we counted down to 3,2,1 and then we spend the wheel and then they had to ask us questions and we had to shout Hoffy,Hoffy,Hoffy!!!!! or JB,JB,JB!!!!! and so we answered 5 questions and the first team to shout there chant out loud gets to win so Ryan Hoffman or John Palavi had to pick one of them if they get it right they win a prize. After that we talked about some said "7.00pm,8.00pm and 12.00am" Ryan Hoffman & John Palavi Sleeps really early because they know that they have training and a game. So the game was that we had to figure out what keeps us up and that we can't go school, like t.v,social media, light and many more. When we finished we played another game it was called hydration it's when we play true or false I got one wrong that one was 'Do you drink water after your training' and it was False, because you have to drink water all the time to keep you hydrated,Most of us got it wrong and right. All of us had really fun having the warriors come by and see us it was amazing.

Run,Jump,Throw
So what we done here was Run,Jump,Throw. What we learned about was high jump the techniques that we had to do like feet where your shoulders are and how we jump like bending our knees. We had a lot of fun doing high jump what I liked about it was that we get to practise our high jump and have a lot of fun. Thank you to Mrs Andi for teaching us the techniques of high jump like using our arms to left us and then comparing it without our arms and we will see how far we went and then we did the same thing but with our legs first we tried it with bending our knees and see how far we went after we done that we did it with our legs straight a lot us didn't go that far. After we done all of that we went into groups, we had to mark where we had jumped the top high jumpers had to challenge each other well done to Zahn who came 1st, John who came 2nd and Me who came 3rd and the others did a great job jumping everyone did a fantastic job.

Netball Inter-school
On Wednesday we had our interschool netball tournament. Everyone had a lot of fun playing with each other, even though some were still learning how to play netball. Year 7&8 had two teams, Panmure Bridge 1 and Panmure Bridge 2. Our Year 5&6 had the same. In our team we played against Point England 1. Unluckily we lost but we tried our best and worked as a team. Our second game was against Glen Taylor. We were leading in the first half but then the second half we lost by 1 point, at least we strived to achieve. Our third game was against Point England 2. We were getting better and better in each game, but unfortunately we lost by 1 point. In our final game we went against PBS 2 and we won our game. Everyone had fun and enjoyed playing with each other and working as a team. Thank you to our coaches/umpires from Otahuhu College. We really appreciated the effort that you guys have put in into us. Hauora
So on this DLO is about Hauora. We done this with Mrs Anderson for the the last few weeks what I learned about Hauora is that when we don't have the 4 walls altogether than we will go all over the place and we won't know WHO WE ARE in life and so for eg if you're an athlete than you will lose your focus and you wont know what to do, and I guess for me the 4 walls plays a big part in my life like my family,My community and WHO I AM. It's been cool learning about Hauora because I learned new things and I loved the part when we felt our palse and were timing them and how it's cool when your young your heart beats second and then when we get older our heart starts to slow down.
Current Event - Olympic Spirit
So on this DLO is a current event about Nikki Hamblin (New Zealand Athlete) & Abbey D'Agostino (American Athlete) and so when they were running the 5000 meter Abbey D'Agostino fell first and then when they were running Nikki Hamblin helped her and kept running and so it shows that they are role models and that little kids would look up to them and think 'I should do this/that' and what they did was outstanding because they should have a reward for helping and they were not focusing on the medal but they were helping each other finish that line.

Provocation
So on this DLO is our Provocation,so what it says is that should "Rio spent $1.2 billion US building new stadiums as hosts of the 2016 Olympics should they have spent this money?" So one the two top boxes it says our opinions. M partner Victoria and I says No because they could use it for fixing broken house or they could use it for the poor people also the kids who don't have education. The two pictures are comparing the stadium,so this stadium is called Panathenaic Stadium so on your left it's when it was the 1870 and it looked horrible but when it came to 2009 it looked very nice and clean. I bet you this year 2016 no one ever uses it and it's full of rubbish.

Run,Jump,Throw
So today we done Run,Jump,Throw. What we done here was learn about how to run when your a athlete, I learn one thing that I never knew is that when you're starting a race then the athletes never ever look at the other players. I had fun doing Run,Jump,Throw. So what we all learned was that the differences between sprint and distance is that - Sprint starts with 'On your mark' - Sprint On Distances they start off with 'On your mark' - Long distance. Also we learned how to begin a race.
How to start a race
Step 1. You have to take a step back from your start of your line. Step 2. Left/Right leg in front also your leg in other leg back and pretend to squash a back so your leg is not on the line before you get disqualified also your other leg back.
Step 3. your feet off the ground also bend knees.
Step 4. High Knees.
Step 5. Never look at a player beside you.
Step 6. Look straight also stay in your line.
Step 7. When you're running your hands are near your chicks and elbows bend.
